Terms and Conditions for La Margarita Hotel Online Portal

 

By accessing the booking portal on http://www.lamargaritahotel.com and by booking online through this portal, you agree to the Terms and Conditions below (referred to hereinafter as “Terms and Conditions”). If you do not wish to accept these conditions, you cannot use this portal to make reservations or any other online service.

Terms and conditions.

1- Online Booking Portal.

This online booking portal is available on the website http://www.lamargaritahotel.com (referred to hereinafter the “Portal”) which is owned and managed by the company Blue Salt Ltd, a company whose principal activity is located at Hotel La Margarita, Royal Road, Trou aux Biches, Republic of Mauritius, and registered under number C15133921 ​​(referred to hereinafter as “Hotel Margarita”)

By clicking on the button “I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions” of the online booking page of the portal, you acknowledge having read these Terms and Conditions and you accept them without other conditions.

The Portal reserves the right to modify at any time these Terms and Conditions without notice.
2- Prices and VAT

The prices displayed on the portal include VAT. The Portal reserves the right to change its rates at any time, especially when changing the VAT rate, high fluctuation of the Euro relative to the local currency (Mauritian Rupee MUR) or force majeure.

3-Reservations and payments:

Once online booking is done through the portal, the customer receives a confirmation email with all the details of his reservation. If no email is received within 24 hours after booking online, customer must contact the Hotel La Margarita by email to info@lamargaritahotel.com or by phone at + 230 261 3963.
To definitively confirm a booking trough the portal, the customer must pay a deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the stay to be made by bank transfer within 5 days of online booking date (bank details are mentioned on booking page). The reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of payment of the 50% deposit and a confirmation email will be sent to customer. If this deposit is not received by La Margarita within 5 days, booking will be lost for the client.
The balance of payment will be due upon the guest’s arrival to the hotel.
The Hotel reserves the right to take a print of the customer’s credit card and will request a valid ID accordingly. Extras will be paid upon departure.

4. Cancellation:

In case of booking cancellation by the customer, once the deposit has been collected by Hotel La Margarita, a portion of this deposit will be refunded to the customer under the following conditions:
If the reservation is canceled 30 days prior to arrival, 90% of the deposit will be refunded to the customer within 30 days.
If the reservation is canceled between 14 and 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of the deposit will be refunded to the customer within 30 days ..
If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days before arrival, the deposit will not be reimbursed.
In case of force majeure making the hotel unable to accommodate customers who made reservations through the Portal, Hotel La Margarita will do their best to offer customers an alternative in another hotel or equivalent. If not possible, Hotel will reimburse deposit paid by customer when booking throuh the Portal.

Where applicable, bank charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
5. Early Check-in and/or late check-out:

The rooms are made available to customers from 2:00pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 11 am (noon) on day of departure.

From November 1st 2015 to April 30th 2016, possibility of arriving in the room before 14h or leaving after 11h are not guaranteed and will depend on availability.
6- Supplements for gala dinners, half board only:

Supplement for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners: 50 € (12 years old and over) and 30 € (children 2 years to 12 years old). No charge for children under 2 years.
